Creating a Cozy Bedroom
Our bedroom is one of the most important parts of our home because it’s where we rest for 7-8 hours every day. That’s a big deal! Which is why I love creating a cloud-like oasis that helps me feel relaxed and cozy when I’m ready to hit the hay.
Here they are:
1. USE NATURAL MATERIAL BEDDING.
I’m using 100% organic linen sheets. They’re comfortable, breathable, and get softer with each wash.
2. ADD A PLANT OR DRIED FLOWERS.
Bring those natural elements into the bedroom! Eucalyptus leaves are my favorite because they are low maintenance (no watering needed) and look great in any bedroom style. I can usually find them fresh at my local grocery store.
3. DECLUTTER YOUR WARDROBE
We wear 20% of the clothes in our closet 80% of the time. Declutter your wardrobe and keep your favorites only.
4. LAY YOUR MOST REACHED FOR ITEMS ON TOP OF YOUR NIGHTSTAND
Keep those nightstand essentials simple. I only lay on top what I reach for often and tuck away the rest.
5. HAVE A PLACE FOR EVERYTHING
Put dirty clothes inside the laundry hamper and extra bedding tucked away inside a storage container. Having a place for everything keeps floors and counters tidy and clutter free.
