My Focus on Self-Love

Going to the park for a lovely picnic is one of my favorite ways to relax and feel calm.

The falling leaves during this windy summer day was so uplifting and inspiring!

I have been thinking quite a bit about self-love and our self-talk.

There may be people we meet that tell us we’re too short, too tall, too curvy, too thin, working too little, not working enough, (the list goes on). People who are most hurt often criticize themselves and/or others to shield their own insecurities. Their self-talk can easily become our self-talk if we are not mindful and influence the way we practice self-love.

THE BEST FORM OF SELF-LOVE IS LOVE AND ACCEPTANCE FOR OURSELVES.

Self-love takes inner work that we have to constantly work on any time we find ourselves criticizing ourselves or others. Even the smallest acts of self-love make a huge difference during challenging or stressful situations because self-love comes in many forms.

To me, self-love comes in the form of the 4 R’s: rest, reflection, relationships and rituals. Personally, I love creating daily wellness rituals to practice self-love to take care of my mind, body, and mood.

Self-love is love and acceptance for everything we are. Self-love is small acts of kindness we give ourselves so that we can be our best selves for others.

How do you practice self-love?
